The genuine ABRTMon.exe file is a software component of Samsung Auto Backup by Samsung.
Samsung Auto Backup is a program that creates duplicate copies of data in order to prevent data loss. ABRTMon.exe runs the real-time backup process that creates copies of data as soon as it is created. This is not an essential process for Windows and can be disabled if known to create problems. Samsung Auto Backup features the ability to backup data from a specified folder, directory or drive, or make system-wide backups, either in real-time or according to a custom schedule. The program offers 128-bit AES encryption and displays a tray icon that specifies the available space on the drive being used for backups. Auto Backup supports the Windows and Mac OS platforms. Samsung is a South Korean conglomerate that was established in 1938 as a small trading company by Lee Byung-chul. The company was a key player in South Korea's rapid post-war development that led to a burst in economic growth during the 1960s.
