Daemons are servants waiting for jobs from their masters. AC is ArcSoft. ACDaemon is an ArcSoft daemon looking for work for ArcSoft. ArcSoft is software used by equipment manufacturers (OEM) for digital imaging and video solutions. Most of the ArcSoft’s software is bundled with new mobile phones, digital cameras, personal computers, image scanners, and computer printers. For the first time and without asking for execution of a program, this window labelled "Microsoft" popped up saying : ArcSoft Daemon has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

its in your kodak easy share program. go to control panel, find programs, find kodak and click on it as an uninstall and it offers uninstall or change or repair. I chose repair as I knew I had installed the program and considered it as safe.
I keep my task manager open and when the cpu usage is 100% and frozen, I end the process...which temporarily relieves the problem until it re appears
The AGK Audio/Video Grabber is using ACDaemon.exe to recon when the grabber dongle is put in usb it works fine for me on XP. I recommend not to uninstall when you have a AGK grabber.
Came with scanner software had to uninstall it as caused firefox to freeze up. Didn't agree to this extra software being installed and no notification it would be.
The first question is... Do you have (or use) any software by the ArcSoft Company? I have an external video capture card from the Hauppauge company that comes with ArcSoft programs used to watch TV on the computer. Unfortunately, when some programs are installed, there are many "extras" installed also. (often called bloatware) You generally don't use or need these extras, but they're "bundled" with the stuff you need. Hackers are also VERY clever at disguising viruses and trojans to look "almost" identical to real programs. I use my Arcsoft program, but check their website for assurance?

I got it from the Kodak Easy Share, too.

Would not let me open iTunes, kept coming up apsdaemon.exe could not open error due to msvr80.dll not found, caused me to lose all my music files, removed this and iTunes from computer.
It crashed Avast antivirus, doesn't seem very trustworthy.
Every time I boot up my HP Pavilion P6000 I see the file in something called CrashDumps. After a few minutes, the screen corrupts and the blue screen of death appears, ending with "gathering data for a crash dump"

Whenever this process starts running my whole system locks up and moves at snail speed, often have to close all applications and sometimes restart the computer. It seems to run At random, usually when I am rushing to do some task. Inconvenient. If not required, I'm turning it off in Norton 360 startup manager.
I installed a Canon Scanner Printer and had my computer lock up on me... I found it runs in start up and turned it off for now. I have not used my printer yet since. I also had a Windows update just before the crash and rebooting did not help. I finally restore it back 2 days and seems to be running fine. I think it was the Windows Update though (I am running Win. 100.

ACDaemon is a USB connection "helper" for Trust HD webcams.
I cannot uninstall it and I think it is why I am unable to use my Arcsoft builtin camera now for years.

My computer seems to have installed it with ArcSoft Totalmedia 3.5, which gives me TV reception. It came with my USB TV interface. Not caused any problems that I know of with Windows 10, though it added itself to the startup routines and I shall be disabling it.
