Something to do with Autodesk licensing - annoying!

Something to do with 3DS max and other Autodesk programs (hence Adsk)

Its running when Studio Max 8 is running.

It always appears when I use 3dmax - can 'delete' in task manager, but it reopens elsewhere. Harmless.

Causes fatal errors on my AutoCAD2005, running on Win2000Pro! Seriously annoying, AutoCAD tries to close and asks to 'try and save' my work, but to no avail... Happens regularly! Tip: set your autosave time to max of 5 mins. If not, it will be dangerous to your wallet if you, like me, get paid by the hour....

As some people said before, it is used by Autodesk apps (in my case Autocad) to manage licenses. From Autodesks site, "The AdskCleanup process is used by the activation technology to manage the licenses for Autodesk software." Check the link for more info.

Same, it reopens when running 3DSMax

Just installed Autodesk's AutoCAD 2008 and this showes up in task manager. Probably Autodesk stuff.

From Autodesk website:

it starts up in taskmanager everytime i load autocad, sometimes several instances. It doesn't seem to change anything if you kill the process, and when i have problems loading acad it speeds it up.
