CD-RW driver installed by VOB or Pinnacle software

This file has installed itself and disabled any possiblity of using my dvd ram drive as a writter.......it sucks. if you delete it , you lose all drives....

It is a driver filter that can not be stopped by SCM (Services). To remove, you must remove the keys in registry and not delete the file. It's seem to be a CD-RROM filter.

Operations to remove ASAPIW2k. Launch regedit (start, run, regedit); Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet. From this key, search 'LowerFilters' only in values. For each LowerFilters found, remove ASAPIW2k if present in data (should be present only for CD-ROM device). Reboot the PC and ASAPIW2k is now disabled. This is not a malware but just a File System Filter used by some video applications.
