The executable file is indeed a scripting facility and can be used to execute malware scripts. The file itself is not the threat, but a script file sits next to it and shortcuts are generated to execute the malware through autoit3.exe. On my friend's pc it was located in a hidden system folder c:\google and had misspelled adopeupdater and windowsupdater script files.
windows cannot find c:\google\AutoIt3.exe
a shortcut virus

It copies itself to any and every external disk attached to the computer and hides itself in E:/Skypee . It also hides in C:/Program Files/Google/ . It is really harmful cos it can turn files into folders and folders into files.
It comes with autohotkey (i am pretty sure) It may seem fishy but it's nothing harmful.
