Great tool, does not hog your computer resources, it works well from a login script. GREAT TOOL!

It creates a bitmap and sets your desktop to it. If you've removed everything from your system, check to see if your desktop bitmap is set to a bginfo screen.
If you are a system Admin you know everything inside your computer. You don't need to advertise it while you're away or not using your computer. It's dangerous and should not be used as a wallpaper.
Useful utility for when you remote desktop to multiple servers, not relavent to desktops/laptop users. Is now part of Microsoft's tools.

BGinfo is an amazing piece of software! every IT company should use this. This helps us gather all the info we need.
It's a good tool but doesn't work so well when RDP to servers because the desktop background is disabled. Use a tool like "Server Info" which doesn't replace the background itself.
Use it on all our windows Servers. Great for host you only access over RDP or KVM. Before in the bginfo would make wall paper manually with MSPaint bginfo does it automatically and updates on login.

A clean and tidy computer is the key requirement for avoiding problems with Bginfo. This means running a scan for malware, cleaning your hard drive using 1cleanmgr and 2sfc /scannow, 3uninstalling programs that you no longer need, checking for Autostart programs (using 4msconfig) and enabling Windows' 5Automatic Update. Should you experience an actual problem, try to recall the last thing you did, or the last thing you installed before the problem appeared for the first time. Use the 6resmon command to identify the processes that are causing your problem. Even for serious problems, rather than reinstalling Windows, you are better off repairing of your installation or, for Windows 8 and later versions, executing the 7DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth command. This allows you to repair the operating system without losing data.
