What is BleServicesCtrl.exe?

The genuine BleServicesCtrl.exe file is a software component of Intel PROSet/Wireless Bluetooth by Intel Corporation - Mobile Wireless Group.
“BleServicesCtrl.exe” loads Intel PROSet/Wireless Low-Energy (LE) Technology for Bluetooth. It loads and makes calls to “mbtleapi.dll” in the Microsoft .NET Framework which must therefore be present also. It usually resides in "C:\Program Files\intel\Bluetooth" and can be uninstalled by using the Control Panel and selecting "Bluetooth LE Services.” Intel’s software only supports Bluetooth LE for Windows 7 because later Windows versions (8/8.1/10) support it natively. “Low Energy Bluetooth” is different from “Classic Bluetooth” used for audio and Skype VoIP telephony because it is designed for “Internet of Things” (IoT) devices ranging from wearable heart monitors to LED light bulbs. The two forms are incompatible. Intel, an American multinational corporation headquartered in Santa Clara, CA, USA, was founded in 1968 and strives to expand worldwide use of smart and connected technology. Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR), an OEM-only supplier of Bluetooth radios and drivers to the laptop industry, may supply Intel also.
