Bei mir kam der Browsersafeguard mit dem Programm RocketTab. Habe im Windows-Explorer einfach nach Safeguard gesucht. Im Taskmanager Rechtsklick auf den Prozeß, wußte ich dann, welches Programm ich über die Systemsteuerung zu deinstallieren habe. Habe RocketTab deinstalliert, dann im Windows-Explorer das Verzeichnis aus dem Programm-Ordner gelöscht, im Registry-Editor nach Safguard suchen lassen und diese Aufrufe gelöscht, ebenso nach RocketTab gesucht. Zur Zeit lasse ich noch Avira Systemscan laufen.

Ich kann Browsersafeguard nicht deinstallieren (Win7: "wird benutzt"). Wenn ich's über den Taskmanager beende, findet das Internet keine Seiten mehr.
