It is Comodo Antivirus
Something is really wrong with this exe. Seems I found a lot of fake things impersonating Comodo etc. You can't uninstall or delete this. Not necessary for system.
It is the Cache Builder of Comodo Antivirus. You can disable it via the main program

Installed as part of Comodo CIS update after version 5.12. Dangerous because it will tax a Windows XP-appropriate hardware platform to the point of inoperability. Comodo's brain-dead upgrade process does not check for the suitability of the PC - OS version is ignored, drive space is ignored, system speed and memory are ignored. The "upgrade" process will remove a working CIS version, then attempt to install one, aborting with "OS not supported" or continuing on until the newer version is installed, taking the formerly working PC to its knees. Strongly suggested: WIn XP is adequately protected by version 5.12 with the latest signatures. Remove versions 6 or 7 and reinstall 5.12.2499. Disable upgrade alert using the Preferences/upgrades tab. AV signatures will continue to be applied.
cavwp.exe is part of the Comodo On-Demand Antivirus scan. For making it less vulnerable it usually runs hidden and can only be removed by uninstalling Comodo. Be careful though if this process appears and you do not have Comodo products installed.
It is the real time component of Comodo antivirus, which is why it protects itself.
CPU unsafe load (or spy?) If you do not want your PC to burn out, here is a quite temporary 'solution' : 1. deactivate HIPS 2. kill cavwp.exe 3. rename cavwp.exe 4. reactivate HIPS 5. cavwp.exe is gone Let us hope Comodo will take this well-known trouble seriously, after such a long time of ignorance. Lamers !

It seems to run automatically on random dates right after boot up. It runs for as much as one-half hour, and while it runs, it takes most of the processing time greatly interfering with running anything else. When I end it using the task manager, I see no adverse effects.
This Comodo ESM process.
Comodo Antivirus
It is comodo at least mine.On reboot it will use a fair amount of cpu doing some scans and setting up but in a few minutes it calms down and pc runs great.

Best practices for resolving cavwp issues

A clean and tidy computer is the key requirement for avoiding problems with cavwp. This means running a scan for malware, cleaning your hard drive using cleanmgr and sfc /scannow, uninstalling programs that you no longer need, checking for Autostart programs (using msconfig) and enabling Windows' Automatic Update. Always remember to perform periodic backups, or at least to set restore points.

Should you experience an actual problem, try to recall the last thing you did, or the last thing you installed before the problem appeared for the first time. Use the resmon command to identify the processes that are causing your problem. Even for serious problems, rather than reinstalling Windows, you are better off repairing of your installation or, for Windows 8 and later versions, executing the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth command. This allows you to repair the operating system without losing data.

To help you analyze the cavwp.exe process on your computer, the following programs have proven to be helpful: Security Task Manager displays all running Windows tasks, including embedded hidden processes, such as keyboard and browser monitoring or Autostart entries.
