This first showed up after installing an older version of Roxio (5). It caused a looping BSoD. One site recommended renaming the file in Safe Mode to cdr4_xp.sys.old, but I do not recommend this, as when it rebooted: No more BSoD but also no more CD-RW. The drive's drivers couldn't be reinstalled either. Still working on it...

Part of a DVD-RAM driver for my Matshita UJ-840s drive on my Toshiba Satelite M45. I took it out of my drivers folder in safe mode and Windows booted fine but now my computer doesn't display my DVD drive, only my hard drives. Tried putting it back in the proper folder only to crash to a blue screen again and have the same thing happen. Tried finding the driver online, installed a different one and it did the same thing. Tried finding the driver on the drivers DVD on a different computer and installed that but didn't help. I am thinking about wiping my C Drive clean since nothing worked

After most recent window update (12-15-06), when I rebooted got BSD before reboot. Then computer kept getting the blue screen. The identified file was CDR4_xp.sys. In safe mode I moved out of drivers directory to desktop and systems booted fine.
