i get a error with it but if i remove it my cdroms dont work

cdralw2k.sys and cdr4_2k.sys are from Easy CD Creator4 which is incompatible with windows xp. It cannot be deleted.search their forums.

CDralw2k is a Windows Media Player 7.01 file, isn't dangerous. It's a service launch by windows.

I keep getting a "your computer has just recovered from a serious error associated with cdralw2k.sys" and then says you can get the upgrade from roxio and then you have to pay when i didn't even put the program on my computer to begin with!

It seems fairly obvious that it is a driver provided by Adaptec/Roxio and conflicts with Win XP SP-2. Windows prevents it from operating saying there will be a conflict with Windows. Basically, the conflict means the old Adaptec drivers will not work with Windows XP-SP-2

cdralw2k.sys and cdral.dll are drivers installed by Roxio programs. They are incompatible with Windows XP and block access to DVD's by Windows. NERO offers a free tool to deactivate those drivers, but then the Roxio programs wouldn't run. How can a company like Roxio release such a crap?

This file is DLA utility that allows the drag and drop feature to function with a cd/dvdrom drive. If it is orginally installed on the system by the OEM, then the cdralw2k.sys is essential or XP will not see the drive. Installing other DLA utilities will correct the dysfunction.

It's a puzzler in my computer its the only system file that has a bak file with it I think my bak file was the original windows sys file in its properties its made by sonic soloutions and the replacement is adaptec.inc and its properties states it is a windows 2000 kernel driver im going to switch them and see what happens...

I know that it's causing a conflict on my computer that is crashing my games. I know that it doesn't seem to want to come off. I'm wishing that I could find a replacement, and hoping someone will HELP ME PLEASE!!
