it's part quickset, which I just downloaded from Dell.com and installed. It monitors keyboard input so that it can recognize keyboard shortcuts for things like standby, activating a wireless card, or ejecting a cd.

this file is not dangerous it come directly from dell..its only monitoring keystrokes to see when the user presses the accessdirect button. when the user presses that button the program lauches an application chosen by the user.

I don't like the idea of dell installing drivers to capture keyboard input. Why don't they use the installed remote support built into windows to remotely support their customers. This is an invasion of privacy, since this is hidden and we cannot control it's application.

It's a keylogger, not sure what it gives out?But the keylogger program shows it runs all the time. I was going to kill it,but not sure what would stop working? Auto updates from Dell I think? It's self aware it installed the printer by it self! And knew what type the make and model number and even set up a test page.Keylogger!Whatever it is? Has total access to my harddrive!

This only includes Inspirons, for the most part. Unless your other Dell Computer has the Access Direct Key. It uses a basic program to link a command to the special key. Most people use it for there Web Applications, like I use it for my encryption software. I push the button and my program pops up. Not harmfull at all

This is not a false alarm. It is, in fact, monitoring your keyboard. But it is not a keylogger, is known to be safe, and KeyPatrol knows it to be safe. It is nothing to worry about.
