Diskeeper Professional Edition (defrag HD)

Not dangerous, defrags hard drives. Very handy.
  Hobo
It's the best defrag software- period
  Glen O. Jacobson
you can disable this, but it wont load upon windows startup and wont defrag in background. When you play games go ahead and disable it to increase resources and memory
  butthead
It is the Diskeeper system tray icon. It uses system resources unnecessarily and if you are aware enough to be looking at it here, disable it and just defragment manually every week or so.

Basically serves as an ad for Diskeeper. I do not think it is necessary for Diskeeper's operation
  Charles Jenkins
can prevent proper shutdown of pc, until the process and dkservice are both stopped
  Craig Edwards
This is not needed for Diskeeper to function UNLESS you use the "Set it and forget" defragmentation scheduling; which is really the main reason you purchase Diskeeper. So disable this if you want to only defragment manually.
