Like the others have stated - Supposed to: Protects against spyware and Protects your browser against hijacks and bad Active X installs. Never had any problems with this. There is no recent updates because of this: its detection abilities are heuristics in nature. Meaning, it does need to update as often as others (See Link: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=23839)
