• "ezShieldProtector for Px" must run at start up. Engine that allows PrimoDVD from Veritas (was Prassi) and Drag'n Drop CD from Easy Systems (and maybe others) to record and protects against other software overwriting the settings

came with Toshiba Satellite A45-S150 instillation cd, I removed from startup programs, I don't like the programs start without my permission
   

If you disable it in msconfig, it will restart its self. This computer I'm working on doesn't have a burner.

I have both InCD (Drag n' drop for burner) and TMPGEnc DVD Author, so not sure which may have installed ezSP_Px.exe. I have also scanned regularly with Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware (Spybot), If you are not using any DVD/CD burners on your system, then remove it. But, if you only suspect it may have virus tendencies, then (for Windows XP users) get "End it All" program and selectively disable this executable. It will return the next time you re-boot. Just a minor inconvenience of re-booting when you decide to burn any DVD's/CD's, but will safeguard your system in case of a potential threat.

I have Toshiba Satllite M35 and it came with Drag&Drop CD+DVD. ezsp_px is in it. So nothing to worry.

ezsp_px.exe is flagged as a system process and does not appear to be a security risk. However, removing EZ Shield Protector may adversly impact your system.

Sony VAIO desktop with Sonic Stage, not sure how malicious it might be, but MS AntiSpyware flagged it up, so we'll see how well the PC works without it....
