Used frequently in Video Game trainers, to prove this. Run a scan, remove them. Re-scan they won't show up. Open and close trainer, then re-scan, it'll be there.

  Dani   (further information)
A program that runs in the background, recording all the keystrokes. Once keystrokes are logged, they are hidden in the machine for later retrieval, or shipped raw to the attacker. The attacker then peruses them carefully in the hopes of either finding passwords, or possibly other useful information that could be used to compromise the system or be used in a social engineering attack. It is dropped by the fake Microsoft security essentials trojan (Think Point And Palladium Pro). It Is In Your System Folder (For Example C:\Windows\System32H@tKeysH@@k.dll). This cannot be executed unless fake MSE is running.
