I stuck a 256 mb flash voyager memory stick into my comp to see if it would read and write ok without installing the software CD. I got an explorer error when I accessed the drive so I desided to install the "flash voyager" software and driver and it put "hotfix Q0306270.exe in my startup. My memory stick seems to work fine so I guess it has to be installed....8( Was hopeing flash stick would work without installing software and driver CD but guess not.

No danger. I have uninstalled the Corsair USB Flash Drive utility and it was gone! It is not clear however why they would leave a program resident...

I think that "hotfix" appear after I install USB memory key

It causes the system to become unstable and crashes explorer eventually!
