hp software for printer would like to know about disableing it and such for exact function
Part of software installed with HP All in one printers
Computer was very slow, so rebooted. Opening Task Manager on reboot indicated everything was normal, then for the first time ever that I can recall, I saw hpdarc.exe intermittently spike processor usage to total 100% for a second or two, and again a few seconds later, then it disappeared from the Process list. Suspicious activity, taking the processor usage to 100% for the first time I can recall.
My hp scanner hangs when scanning. I stop the hpdarc.exe using Task Manager and scanning resumes.

Best practices for resolving hpdarc issues

A clean and tidy computer is the key requirement for avoiding problems with hpdarc. This means running a scan for malware, cleaning your hard drive using cleanmgr and sfc /scannow, uninstalling programs that you no longer need, checking for Autostart programs (using msconfig) and enabling Windows' Automatic Update. Always remember to perform periodic backups, or at least to set restore points.

Should you experience an actual problem, try to recall the last thing you did, or the last thing you installed before the problem appeared for the first time. Use the resmon command to identify the processes that are causing your problem. Even for serious problems, rather than reinstalling Windows, you are better off repairing of your installation or, for Windows 8 and later versions, executing the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth command. This allows you to repair the operating system without losing data.
