at windows sign on says unable to start driver
I started seeing it after I downloaded a HP photosmart 1115 driver from there site, however it cannot be deleted without uninstalling the whole driver. When I start up my computer it says it could not start up HPHipm09 so I dont think its needed because my printer still works.

i think that is a Hp process from my printer
It works in tandem with select HP printers.
It tries to start (but fail - message) when I do changes at partitions with PartitionMagic, just don't click ok just wait till the main software is finnished. I don't know it does not seem to be dangerous to me...
Seems to be part of the driver for the Photosmart 1000 series printers. I deleted it and the error message went away. But NOTE: I dont have my HP-1000 any more either, so I don't need the driver.

Definitely a HP photosmart 1115 process... pops up with error before and after every single print. Things still work fine though.

Best practices for resolving HPHipm09 issues

A clean and tidy computer is the key requirement for avoiding problems with HPHipm09. This means running a scan for malware, cleaning your hard drive using cleanmgr and sfc /scannow, uninstalling programs that you no longer need, checking for Autostart programs (using msconfig) and enabling Windows' Automatic Update. Always remember to perform periodic backups, or at least to set restore points.

Should you experience an actual problem, try to recall the last thing you did, or the last thing you installed before the problem appeared for the first time. Use the resmon command to identify the processes that are causing your problem. Even for serious problems, rather than reinstalling Windows, you are better off repairing of your installation or, for Windows 8 and later versions, executing the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth command. This allows you to repair the operating system without losing data.
