Useless if IE is not your default browser. It hogs resources, especially on low end computers,
It runs even if you do not use IE...

it is low to medium integrity cookie it is not a virus. it only appears in windows 8.1 after opening internet explorer and can be ended manually after use from task manager. all it is is an extension of internet explorer to make browsing less secure sites 3rdparty cookie sites. reports of it loading even if not using internet explorer is because ie is now an intregated part of windows and can never be fully removed. if you want to stop the process running download a 3rd party process manager which then can either be monitored or disabled from the end user. or reset back to windows 8 which in my opinion is much quicker more responsive uses less cpu ram etc etc and less security issues hope this helps you paranoid guys thinking there is something untoward going on. if you still think there something wrong download malwarebites scan for any malware.
