It's a program to manage the touchpad, but it was taking 40% of my cpu usage. I unistalled it for good...and I can still use the touchpad.
My Ktp.exe started appearing after I accidentally opened what turned out to be a virus file (I'll be honest, I was asking for it, trying to pirate a tiny game). I discovered it when Internet Explorer asked me if I wanted to delete Date&Time. It was found running along IE (which I never use, and ensure it is never active), and some ATI file. However, during my "purge" (my three-step complete virus removal, KTP was found on step one), I noticed there was another ktp.exe file, this one in the windows folder, which was safe. So watch out: the dangerous ktp is often hidden in temp files.Always scan
