Magic Tune Premium, comes as MagicTuneEngine.exe, version 1.0.0.1 supplied by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd (SEC), and is the one that's 2437120 bytes long. It was shipped with my Samsung SyncMaster 932BF 19 inch TFT LCD Monitor. It is found where it should be on my system, in the Program Files directory, MagicTune Premium subdirectory as PID 564 and runs at startup. I have no problems with this software: no crashes, no freezes, no bsod, it seems to be doing what it is supposed to do, but then my system runs on 2 gigs of memory, which is a bonus for any system.

Comes with Samsung Monitor. Crashes a lot

It's shite - causes constant freezes within 2 minutes of booting

Came with my Samsung 2343BW monitor, used to crash every minute or so but new downloaded version never crashes. It's for changing the monitor settings through the taskbar, the buttons on the monitor are worthless. Connects to internet when i start Windows 7 so i blocked it, no reason for the program to do that.

ist offensichtlich ein ein Flopp, Läuft trotz Win7 auf 2 Notbooks nicht. Hinweis: das aktuelle Computersystem ist nicht mit MagicTune kompatibel. Samsung liefert schlechte Software.

It causes XP not to load if you switch to a different monitor.

Best practices for resolving MagicTune issues

A clean and tidy computer is the key requirement for avoiding problems with MagicTune. This means running a scan for malware, cleaning your hard drive using cleanmgr and sfc /scannow, uninstalling programs that you no longer need, checking for Autostart programs (using msconfig) and enabling Windows' Automatic Update. Always remember to perform periodic backups, or at least to set restore points.

Should you experience an actual problem, try to recall the last thing you did, or the last thing you installed before the problem appeared for the first time. Use the resmon command to identify the processes that are causing your problem. Even for serious problems, rather than reinstalling Windows, you are better off doing a repair of your installation, or in the case of Windows 8, executing the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth command. This allows you to repair the operating system without losing data.

To help you analyze the MagicTune.exe process on your computer, the following programs have proven to be helpful: Security Task Manager displays all running Windows tasks, including embedded hidden processes, such as keyboard and browser monitoring or Autostart entries. A unique security risk rating indicates the likelihood of the process being potential spyware, malware or a Trojan. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware detects and removes sleeping spyware, adware, Trojans, keyloggers, malware and trackers from your hard drive.
