Works well in some Windows OS's. Not in Xp. High CPU usage. Heated up one of mine that was a fresh rebuild of new hardware. Norton Security went nuts telling me what it was doing every 10 min. a days after it was installed. It noe is blocked from entering my computer. AT&T's portal is gone also. My 2 i7's and core 2 quad are next in line for uninstall. Does not seem to affect the Internet service.

It is software created by Motive Communications, A Division of Alcatel-Lucent. It uses Windows Search to gather data from your computer, sends both your credentials (via a Contacts folder created by the app under your current user folder) to remote IP addresses using Windows Mail. Even while working for this company in Austin, TX, I believed this software to be a trojan / keylogger. Remove immediately after install and use. Installed with IP software to permit remote logon to your system by help desk servicing technicians of AT&T, Time Warner, Verizon, Centurylink, Brit Telecom, Windstream

Recently I had internet issues due to AT&T changed the com head on the main corner in my city. I was down for two days & four hours while the ONE man changed over the old four wire system to fiber back blade server. After the replacement was in place, I have had TROUBLE (& anticipate I will) until they bring the fiber trunk line into my community. I called AT&T and told them what I was experiencing so they sent me an email that had the link to their support page which had this software down load auto, then the problem started. It has tied up my i3 quad core 90% & mem 3.5 og 4 gig used! REMOVE

This process is a part of AT&T software that you ay have aquired in one of two ways. If you have downloaded the AT&T version ob Internet Explorer you probably got it in the bundle. The other way to get it is to download from AT&T their program for troubleshooting your AT&T internet srvice (Either DSL or U-verse).
