While I never tried to load this piece of spyware, I found my system running very, very slow and my Intranet based application failing. Found MKSC on system panel of Task Manager, as it had hijacked my proxy server, the Intranet application would not connect and this caused it to fail. Removed mksc using control panel add/remove programs and my system is now OK. The fact that this spyware redirects web traffic to it's own proxy server is obviously a threat to Intracnet and potentially other Internet based apps.
