netmon.exe is a process which is registered mass-mailing worm. This virus is distributed via the Internet through e-mail and comes in the form of an e-mail message, in the hopes that you open its hostile attachment. The worm has it's own SMTP mailing engine which means it gathers E-mails from your local computer and re-distributes itself. In worst cases this worm can allow attackers to access your computer, stealing passwords and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

there appears to be a spyware/adware process also called netmon.exe. it installs itself in the program files folder, in a subfolder called Network Monitor. (it was installed on my computer along with Winable.exe, ISMmodule.exe, and webbuying.exe after i visited an evil site.)

I work in the Mayor Office of my city, and I have seen this virus spread out over 600 computer in less than three hours and also convert every one fof those computer in a virus server, sendding atacks to the other ones allmost all the time

netmon.exe is awesome, you ping a site like google.com and it gives you this little graph to show you how your ping time and dropped packets. great for troubleshooting intermittant connectivity issues
