A Windows search revealed that NEWSFLSH.EXE-2EA9CA83.pf was located in C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch. It was a 13 KB folder containing unreadable files deposited by probably other programs, including the firewall program ZoneAlarm. There is also an application called NewsFlsh in C:\Program Files\Common Files\MySoftware. This is a 255 KB file that was produced by MySoftware, Inc. In the same folder (C:\Program Files\Common Files\MySoftware) there is another activeX control file called WEBSTER HTML Control. It was produced by Home Page Software Inc. -- info@homepagesw.com and Copyrighted in 1997.

I don't know where I got "newsflash.exe" but I don't remember installing it. It wants to run at startup and deposits an icon in the task bar. I uninstalled this "program" once, however it still seems to be hiding in C:\Program Files\Common Files...\Newsflash.exe

don't knwo what is is doing but it opens file handles by the 10's of thousands, a resource hog and ... why the hell does it need to do this? I't can't possibly be benign

I believe it's loaded with MyLabelsPremium, possibly for updates to the label software.
