The program has a visible window. There is no information about the maker of the file. Although I removed all my Pinnacle-software weeks ago, this process didn´t disapear. I didn´t have problems up till now, but bad uninstalls which, willingly or not, leave running applications, are a security risk. Neither AntiVir nor Ad-Aware SE found the file to be dangerous, so I guess its still the original.

It comes with WaveLab 5 and Clean 5 and stops XP from seeing any of my optical drives. Once the file was removed from the system dir and the machine was rebooted, the drives reappeared.

Related to Pinnacle Studio 10.5 as well. Slows machine down. If you can dump Pinnacle then do it.

Related to Pinnacle Studio 9 - DEFINATELY NOT THE BEST HOME EDITING SYSTEM! For a better video editor that let's you edit more layers and doesn't leave hidden crap running on your system try Adobe Premiere.
   

I never ever had anything from Pinnacle Systems GmbH or had ever heard about it, but still I have this on my windows startup. So it must be a trojan, and I'll remove it right now.

I run Pinnacle Showcenter and Studio 9. Needed file. Does not like to be disabled (unless you are not using Pinnacle Systems).
