Strong-armed and deceitful... Passes itself off as a free scanning/ registry fixing Software, finds hundreds of "errors" then fixes only 15, makes you buy SW... Then makes it difficult to remove program... Still having trouble shutting it down.
I have it, it works but does not improve performance much

After running the free scan, your only choice is to click yes clean the registry potentailly permanently disabling my computer. Other options like backup show but are inactive. You cannot even read the list of errors unless you click yes clean the registry. Clicking the red X is also disabled so the only way to prevent it from potentially messing up my registry was to End the Task with Windows Task Manager and then uninstall it.

windows live OneCare Safety scanner is a FREE scanner of your computer which also cleans and checks your registry. I'm in research so I downloaded Uniblue and ran the scan. It said that I had 250 registry errors. OK. THEN I went to Microsoft's Official webpage registry cleaner and ran their scan. They found only 9, and then fixed them. It is my opinion since Microsoft itself found only 9, that this product is a not needed. Go to the link given & click "Full Service Scan." Click complete scan for registry cleaning. Will take 2 hours.

This program tries to defend itself from deletion.
Okay for its intended purpose as a free piece of software it is horrible. This piece of programming junk has slowed my computer so far down that it now takes at least five minutes to boot. If anything listen to this review please do not put this programming pos on your box. Its like using rain water to wash your car. It makes a mess of its indended purpose.
First of all there is no red X button on Registry Booster 2011. There are many registry cleaners but RB is certainly very effective in optimizing the PC. I took the liberty to look around and find a good brief review. Also to Coleen it's very easy to uninstall Registry Booster program.
It installed itself, along with produtools conduit search bar, without my permission onto my computer, then it automatically started a registry scan when I restarted my computer. An annoying piece of software! Tried to post a comment about it being malware on the wikipedia talk page but got this message, Wikipedia is apparently being filtered by your Internet service provider. Unfortunately, the method they are using makes it impossible for Wikipedia to differentiate between legitimate users and those abusing the site. As a result, we have been forced to block several IP addresses from editing

Best practices for resolving registrybooster issues

A clean and tidy computer is the key requirement for avoiding problems with registrybooster. This means running a scan for malware, cleaning your hard drive using cleanmgr and sfc /scannow, uninstalling programs that you no longer need, checking for Autostart programs (using msconfig) and enabling Windows' Automatic Update. Always remember to perform periodic backups, or at least to set restore points.

Should you experience an actual problem, try to recall the last thing you did, or the last thing you installed before the problem appeared for the first time. Use the resmon command to identify the processes that are causing your problem. Even for serious problems, rather than reinstalling Windows, you are better off repairing of your installation or, for Windows 8 and later versions, executing the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth command. This allows you to repair the operating system without losing data.

To help you analyze the registrybooster.exe process on your computer, the following programs have proven to be helpful: Security Task Manager displays all running Windows tasks, including embedded hidden processes, such as keyboard and browser monitoring or Autostart entries. A unique security risk rating indicates the likelihood of the process being potential spyware, malware or a Trojan. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware detects and removes sleeping spyware, adware, Trojans, keyloggers, malware and trackers from your hard drive.
