Es handelt sich bei dieser Datei um eine Komponente der Java-Runtime. Sie wird für die sogenannte "Remote Method Invocation" (=RMI) gebraucht, einer Form der Netzwerkkommunikation. Auch wenn ich es nicht getestet habe, führt ein löschen dieser Datei vermutlich dazu, dass die RMI-Funktionalität in Java gestört wird. Dies wiederum könnte dazu führen, dass manche Java-basierte Programme nichtmehr funktionieren.
