On my computer, it creates an app called stmtreco.exe (possibly randomly generated) which presumably downloads data off the internet and puts a randomly generated file (elpgncwa.exe on my computer) in the Windows startup, which is a popup program that is hard to get rid of because it recreates itself every time you kill the process.
