I have this card reader built into my notebook PC and the shwicon2k crashes often

It's used for the Alcor UB-6000 7-in-1 card reader and is the driver for Win98 and Win2k OS's. Alcor have not updated these drivers for WinXP and, as far as I can see, have now removed all support from their web site for this reader.

This is the driver used for the UB-6000 7-in-1 card reader that I have. It's not great with WinXP but there has been no upgrade on the Alcor site for anything other than Win98 and Win2k

Bought a flash card reader off of Newegg and it came with this on a CD. Perfectly safe. All it does is change the icons for the drives in My Computer.

this shwicon2k.exe screen started showing up when I got a Mobile Broadband Card. When I put the card in the PCI slot sometimes it doesn't recognize it. I'm suspecting Card reader.... there must be something wrong but what. I used Security Task Manager to track down that it's from SunKis......and it's not active on my computer......don't know why yet........
