It will self install, And i think it to have Spyware and some sort of keylogger. Most spyware removal kits will not work, I use Spysweeper. But it keeps regenerating I have found files missing, And when i got back to the computer after 15 minutes, I got a notification that said " You have 19 programs running". i looked in the taskbar, And winamp had been opened 19 times.

Not at all necessary

Used by PC Updater. This program allows software to be installed on computers. It is designed to be used in a corporate network to assist the system administrator in updating software on all computers. From the date of the file, it came preloaded on my Gateway computer. "Since a PC Updater distribution file can be sent to any PC and over any network, companies can now expand their software distribution outside the corporate walls." I consider this program not needed and a potential security threat.

2003 New Boundary Technologies, Inc. PrismXL Software Family. Seems to be harmless, but the folder is hidden even when hidden folders are shown.

I don't really know-I found it on my computer as I was going around, trying to fix steam. Looked a little weird ("self-install?" that can't be good)

It is a Trojan. Must Delete ASAP

It's spyware. Go to the site http://www.softwaretipsandtricks.com/dangerous_files/4391-Sifxinstexe.html

It's a remote access program that comes pre-installed on your computer. You can choose to delete it. I suggest just disabling it. You might 1 day want your manufacturer to access it instead of having to ship it off should anything ever happen to it. But I do agree with you who say it could also pose a threat too.

Potentially a backdoor into your system, allowing whoever had control of it to be able to add programs to your computer without the users permission. Potentially Dangerous, I just deleted it.

I work at New Boundary. It is a net admin tool as Bennett described. A number of PC makers OEMed our tool for use in production. The file is harmless. It is not a trojan or virus or rootkit. See our website for more information. We have been around since 1985.

avg alerted this as a trojan on my system yet the other antivirus softwares did not. Anytime i went to heal it froze the system. Went into the hidden files in the C drive to get rid of it

the file is harmless but its folder can accomodate files such as ValueSup.exe which is a trojan, or conima.exe
