Das Tool wurde von Norton als "sicher" eingestuft, als es erschien. Ich hatte kurz vorher folgendes versucht: Aus dem Adobe Acrobat Reader DC eine PDF als Word Datei exportieren. Zuerst muß dei Adobe-ID eingegeben werden, dann wird man auf eine Seite verlinkt, bei der von Adobe verschiedene Abo-Pakete zum Datei-Exportieren angeboten werden. Da ich nicht möchte, daß an meinen Arbeitsprozessen zusätzlich Geld verdient wird (auch wenn das die modularisierte Bezahlpolitik von Adobe ist), habe ich das Fenster geschlossen. Kurz danach erschien das software_reporter_tool, was für mich bedeutet, daß das Fensterschliessen von Microsoft dokumentiert und "reported", also weitergegeben wird. Meine Freiheit, Angebote abzulehnen, wird also registriert und ich werde in meinen Handlungen ausspioniert. Damit ist software_reporter_tool eine Spyware.
