Included with registered version of Neuber Software's "Security Task Manager". Provides blocking of spyware with regard to: program starts and stops; monitoring of keyboard, mouse, and macros. Icon in Windows system tray also provides easy access to "Show all processes" (starts Security Task Manager), and "Delete history" (deletes accumulated junk in whatever category that is checked in a list of options; very handy, especially regarding internet usage history).

There is another SpyProtector that's rogue. It looks totally different. Please, take a close look before you comment.

It appears from the comments here that there are two pieces of software with the same name, one a fake scanner, the other (which I have) a useful piece of software that came as an extra when I bought Security Task Manager. Amongst other things, it performs the really useful function of alerting me every time something I am installing tries to add a registry entry that starts an 'updater' or worse every time I turn on the computer. This is much better than trying to identify each one later and clearing them all out after the machine becomes too slow at start up.
Its a spy program says my computer...all the time. couldnt trust it...and its annoying.
I have paid for this and it works fine. Spyware protector.exe is the executable It is part of security task manager. it warns when registry changes and keyboard monitoring and other monitors when enabled. you need to enable this every time manually when you are doing things like banking etc. i enable mine every time i boot bit of a pain but the developer will not enable automatically as I have asked.

Best practices for resolving SpyProtector issues

A clean and tidy computer is the key requirement for avoiding problems with SpyProtector. This means running a scan for malware, cleaning your hard drive using cleanmgr and sfc /scannow, uninstalling programs that you no longer need, checking for Autostart programs (using msconfig) and enabling Windows' Automatic Update. Always remember to perform periodic backups, or at least to set restore points.

Should you experience an actual problem, try to recall the last thing you did, or the last thing you installed before the problem appeared for the first time. Use the resmon command to identify the processes that are causing your problem. Even for serious problems, rather than reinstalling Windows, you are better off repairing of your installation or, for Windows 8 and later versions, executing the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth command. This allows you to repair the operating system without losing data.
