It has hijacked my Foxfire and Chrome Browsers and I can't get ridd of it.

You can remove it. open task manger. highlight it right click stij.exe and end process tree like 2 or 3 times. Another right click it would say proform administrative tasks. click that. task manager will reopen. find stij.exe again. right click it click open file location. right click stij.exe again. click and process tree. Thenn QUICKLY lower task manager view the folder that's been opened and delete stij.exe from the folder. highlight your recylce bin right click and empty it
Horrible file!! Remove stij.exe it will slow down and cause issues with all browsers.

I really don't know much, but this thing uses 70%+ CPU and slowing down the computer. Many other articles talk about it being very dangerous.
Yes, IMHO, this is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and recommend it be eradicated ASAP.
I tried all the above and finally located the stif.exe file. I renamed the file as junk and deleted the junk file. Problem seemed to go away.

Stij.exe is definitely a very dangerous program to have on a PC. Make sure you delete it as fast as possible, although this can be quite difficult. The program takes over huge amounts of RAM and can grind your system to a complete halt. It is adware that also changes the starting pages for your browsers.
