SweetIm entpuppte sich bei mir als Malware wie bei tatti, Konnte ihn aber einfach in der Systemsteuerung entfernen. Ansonsten helfen Hijack This und Spybot Search and Destroy.
I removed it using the control panel, tried to add it again and have not been able to with the error message: unable to extract CIS files
asks me to scan for additional details. and to download AV security software to fix it. shows up as a trojan virus on my pc. appeared randomly. after restarting pc it asked to start up using think point(?). calls it a "Safe Start Up".

I completley removed SweetIM by running spybot in safe mode
Runs in background - use Taskmanager to kill all instances. Breeches Windows Firewall - delete from rules. Uninstall using windows Programs and Features function. Use Regedit to search for "sweet"am

SweetIM installed unanounced and unasked for. It then took control of all my browsers, and changed my home page without asking. Everytime I start a browser I get superfluous and annoying advertising blocking my browsing. Uninstalling SweetIM did no good. I had to remove it with Spybot. All these activities are viral.

It's rubbish malware which doesn't uninstall properly from control panel. Very unsafe!

It changes your homepage without you asking and is most likely adware.
When I was downloading something, it asked me whether I wanted to install sweetim, and I decided what the heck, it doesn't look that bad. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case, and sweetim replaces your homepage with it's own, crappy search engine. In short,do not download Sweetim!
This installed it self on Windows 7 and then hijacked browser and security settings to almost stoppping the running of my laptop.....remove by spybot
Hard to uninstall, change your search engine
It is a backdoor trojan from a notorious Russian hacker collective.

It appeared in browser windows, and computer started running slow. It froze Adobe connect when i am teaching on line. I uninstalled, but it is still there in Chrome now. I plan to follow guides for removal of all files. I dont know how it got there, probably with firefox which i was trying couple days ago. its full of advertising on its pseudo search page.
