Change the priority on the process to low, delete the registry key and immediately pull the power cord on the system. Reboot in safe mode and remove the wintools folder/run your virus and spyware removers.

It is spyware, pretty easy to remove just downlaod ad-aware and Hijackthis

boot to floppy (win98 ok to use). attrib -h-r *.* on the folder. delete files and folder \progra~!\common~1\wintools\*.*

i found it in the C:/program files/common files/wintools folder and was unable to end the process don't see any real problem from it other then the fact that it is using uneccessary memory during dvd rips

It will NOT go away! I savagely edited my reg in safe mode and ran several spy scanners and it didn't even blink
