when installing alcohol 120% and you click professional mode you will get the virtual CDROM drive installed and the a347bus.sys driver will appear. If you do not click the box for professional mode yopu will get alcohol 120% without the virtual drive. Its up to you.

Alcohol 120% uses this driver for emulation settings and for the virtual cd drives; my system crashed after i had tried to do a repair (copy back all system files from install cd) - suddenly the device driver a347scsi.sys (which is loaded right after a347bus.sys) caused several bluescreens. i had to manually disable these two drivers from the boot list.

This driver can seriously screw your computer, I recommend you avoid this programme as much as possible. Since the software distributor doesnt seem to provide support for this problem, i'd avoid any other programmes by them aswell.

System was locked during startup process. Also starting up in safemode it locked up. Just before locking up it said hit escape to load a347bus.sys. Hitting it would brought me in a working safe mode. After renaming it my system act normal again.

Certainly, it's a driver for virtual cd-rom units made by Alcohol 120%. A good way to locate the problem is to boot WInXP in safe mode. Then the system asks to press Esc to not load the a347bus.sys driver. Then you know what is the problem. In my case, WinXP were unable to boot whith this driver for loading. The proccess described doesn´t fail!! It´s no dangerous if it´s made by Alcohol 120%, in this case is only a compatibility problem (see other problems within Alcohol 120% and WinXP described here), if it appears without a installation of Alcohol present, you have a serious problem...

if wat previous opnes said about it is true... then if ur missing it, it will really mess u up, my pc won't start in safe mode either, i get this error message that the said file isn't there, so i am guessing its the reason why my pc won't start

Do not forget to remove all virtual drives before you make an update to a newer version of alcohol soft 120% - You can remove the driver manually; First uninstall the CDROM in your Device Manager (WinXP) and uninstall the SCSI driver with include the number 347...; Then remove the files "a347bus.sys" and "a347scsi.sys" from your WINDOWS System21 drivers and restart; If you get an error under "System devices - Plug&Play BIOS Extension" uninstall this too; Well, at this moment the virtual drive is removed!

I have a problem with this file, and reading another experiences, I remove Alchool software and the problem was solved. I think there is an incompatibility from Alchool with XP.
