Had my CPU pegged at 100%!!!

Seems like I have the same prob. Same thing happened last year when my subscription was due. Paid the money, got the years subscription an all was well. It's happening again. Subscription over due, Problem with slow machine. Norton does this to make you pay money.... End. Bye bye Norton. Been great over the years but not any more.

Symantec Technical Support says you have to upgrade to latest version since they are no longer supporting the 2003 version, despite the fact that they continue to sell subscriptions to it. Nice.

100% CPU usage

It hogged 50% or more of my cpu for almost an hour after I started my computer, and then it stopped and stayed at 0%. God only knows what it was doing all that time. I'm still suspicious because in the task manager, it CCPXYSVC.EXE was in all caps. It used 5,000 K of memory according to taskmanager.
