Recently, I've been seeing a window pop up, asking me permission to open/save some file from the internet...and ieframe.dll is asking me. It comes right after a similar request from trailfire.com (which I've never visited). These windows consistently come with a mysterious blank, invisible window that's either supposedly Internet Explorer (which is not my default browser, and is instigated by me on the internet), or regular Windows Explorer (when opening it up myself). Really curious and hesitant about it; denied it all the time, and it always ends up closing the mysterious IE window..

Every time I go on Amazon.com the box asking if I want to go from a trusted site (amazon.com)to ieframe.dll pops up repeatedly. I hit cancel three times to get rid of it. It continually pops us on this one site. Very annoying.

I had a problem with ai.realmedia.com calling for the ieframe.dll and when I put the ai.media.com in my hosts file, it started a continuous loop looking for eiframe.dll, so I put that in the hosts file too... no more prolems!!

It is used by a virus to steal info from you and to block you from the net. It is very bad and should be removed. Reinstall windows if you must - delete it.You can defrag and will find that the virus can't be moved because it is not a windows file. You can get a list of the virus files from the defrag screen.

I have this message: "res://ieframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff_webOC.htm" when ever I try to install a game. I also get "RAinstaller is undefined", and I found that I didn't even have that installed, installed it, no difference. It's only come about in the last week or so, but it won't let me do anything (it also blocks ther things) and I haven't been able to get rid of it using the advice from other forums. I don't know if it's "dangerous" as such but it's a flaming nuisance! If it's not needed, now I know where to find it I'll delete it and hope for the best. Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

All I know is that my computer got a virus, and when I try to open the Internet is says ieframe.dll then says Internet explored can't display the webpage. I'm not reall sure what to do. I can't connect to the Internet on it, so I can't really figure out how to fix it.

In my case this file has been hacked, script was inserted in it that builds a fake IE page, if you cant print from the IE page you have been hacked. ieframe,dll has a flaw that lets it be exploited by inserting dangerous script in it, rootkit
