From Nero. Enables burnable disk use as normal drive. Disks require formatting by right click CD drive menu in Windows Explorer. Not tried running this as normal.Then drag/drop/save etc. files to the disk as normal.

My only experience with this product is a conflict between it and another software doing the same thing. I found that if there is similiar software trying to look at cd's, the two programs will "argue" and lock up your system. Look in add/remove software and delete one product

InCD.exe ist ein Zusatzprogramm von Nero 6, mit welchem DVD RW im UDP-Format wie gewöhnliche Disketten beschrieben werden können. Unschöne Eigenschaft: beim Start von Windows wird es automatisch gestartet (Autostart per Registry-Eintrag). Melden sich an Win XP merhere Benutzer an und versucht sich ein Benutzer abzumelden, dann hängt sich InCD auf und muss per TaskManager abgeschossen werden. Alternative ist: Autostart mittels msconfig für InCD.exe zu deaktivieren (geht auch z.B. mit TuneUp-Utilities oder direkter Registry-Eingriff ) und manueller Programmsstart, wenn DVD RW beschrieben wird.

I found that when I shut this process down, it makes my Hp DVD drive not recognize when theres a disk in it. When going to My Computer, it stops responding and freezes. If you are having this problem, leave this process running and use your DVD drive. It should work fine.

Problems running Dell Jukebox, the app won't read my CD's any more and In inCD exe I get an error say incd exe has caused an error and closes the application, anyone why? and how to fix?

It's harmless ... unless you have more than one user logged in, then it tries running itself again and hogs up the CPU. Just taskmgr and end the hogging task for the second user, and you'll be okay. If someone knows a way to disable it for the second user logging in, please do tell.

It is part of nero and does not need to be running if you run xp and do not burn many disks. You can turn it off from the start run msconfig startup tab
