This is not essential, but very useful for monitoring RAID arrays on remote computers over a network. However, if you absolutely must be "in touch" with RAID failures on remote systems, those systems must be running the MsgAgt.exe (for promise equipped systems only). As stated, it gorges on handles and will eventually affect the non-paged memory pool. Drivers and TCP sessions are choked, and you crash. Seems to affect ASUS. Update your PAM software.

I no that MsgAgt.exe is opening a hell of a lot ports to the internet, my Outpost Firewall showed me that it had opend more than 900 ports and counting, and that on a fresh installed pc only windows, drivers, anti-virus and the firewall. I don't no if its a security risk, but i think it's to many ports
