This is a dangerous driver installed by rootkit. If it's installed, the user is unable to remove it's registry keys (seen with RegMon, the "system" process recreates them). I had to reinstall Windows, but that wasn't necessary.

Renguard is an anti-cheat program for Renegade video game. This file did NOT show up untill I installed and ran Renguard. Spyware Detector lists this as a medium risk, Norton Internet Security seems to ignore it. Technically this form of SVKP does monitor some processes on you PC to check for cheat mods. Other forms may be much more of a threat. The spyware programs ALL say there are numerous forms of the KIA spybot. HTTBirds' comment in this case is correct, it keeps people from undoing the anti-cheat software, and from using a known network exploit to bypass the anti-cheat program

For those running Renguard for C&C Renage it is created by this program. (tests) ran spyware nuker. deleted file svkp.sys. ran again and file was gone. ran renguard and closed. ran swn and file was back. deleted again and ran renguard again. rescan by swn and file was back.

That is driver for shareware protection. You have some software on your computer that is protected against cracking with SVKP protector. It is there just for some administrative rights. If you delete it, protected file won't run. Also you will find SVKP service, and maybe one svkp.dll in root folder. It is not rootkit because it doesn't hide anything. Drivers is packe inside protected program and extracted on double click.
