Securom is a copy right protection created by Sony DAC, it is used by gaming companies. like EA games . In order to get rid of securom, you must go into the regisrty, and remove the key. The uaservice7.exe file can be found in system32 on your comp. Securom has been known to disable some cd burners, and mess around with your antivirus. Some people may not have the uaservice folder if they have a user account on their comp. If you are not able to go into the registry you can reformat your comp to remove securom. However, you will not be able to play your game once securom is removed.

This program is a security program named SecuRom 7 used by many games. It limits some administrative rights when you attempt to delete its registry keys. It is dificult to uninstall, and the resources it does use, is just wasted on bogus security which was cracked 2 weeks after it was released.

Not from any virtual drive software that I have ever seen b4, and I've used almost all of them. Installed with Lego Star Wars, when I uninstalled Starwars it was still there, Bugged out my Comp AFTER I uninstalled Starwars (ate 99% system resources!!!)

Ein Dienst von Securom7. Kam bei mir mit Act of War: Direct Action oder High Treason. Lässt sich über Systemsteuerung Verwaltung Dienste beenden und deaktivieren. Zumindest Act of War läuft auch ohne das dieser Dienst läuft und daher erachte ich uaservice7.exe als überflüssig. An anderer Stelle steht jedoch das UA User Access bedeutet und das klingt für mich nach etwas, was nach Hause telefonieren will. Wäre zu prüfen, ob da wirklich Traffic entsteht, wenn es läuft. Also erstmal wahrscheinlich schädlich, aber auf jedenfall unwichtig um das Spiel starten zu können - Online mode nicht getestet!

Part of securom copy protection. Not per se dangerous, but can cause instabilities. Additionally, it's installed more often then not without permission/knowledge, its functionality is usually not desired be the computer owner and it's often left over after deinstallation of the game it came with. As such I'd consider it malware.
