GtDetectSc.exe is used for detecting 3G mobile broadband modems, I discoverd it in my providers directory, and searching for OptionNV (author of the file) reveals that they are connected to 3g modem drivers.

on this Acer 11.6 NB preinstalled witrh XP, its installed as a service, that is diabled (!) "C:\Program Files\Option\Acer 3G Connection Manager\GtDetectSc.exe"

This is a file used by modem Option Icon to connect to 3g networks. Mine is 196 704 B in size
