They caused my PC to overheat and killed my PC resources and was communicating eventhough I had no network
it slows pc when windows is shutting if you it is better to uninstall hotsshot as I did!

At least disable the add-on if on a PC. May be useful if using a wi-fi hot spot. I chose to remove it from my PC and leaving the laptop alone for now.
I had it installed, then uninstalled it about a year ago ... or at least I thought I did until it started appearing in my system tray again this evening.
