This seems to attempt to link to an external site, and therefore hangs my m/c up, since it starts just a little while before the browser does, generating a system error when it can't connect to whatever site it's trying to access. Infuriating.

Hard to believe that a relatively straightforward printer status monitor should always be eating up nearly 400MB of physical memory, but there you have it. That roughly 2.7MB shown in the example above is a joke!

I'm glad to see Chris Anderson's comment on memory usage as that is what drew my attention to it when I was looking for memory hogs on my old system ... it was using over 538MB on my system! but it does seem to have a memory leak as the memory used grows over time. (Maybe worse when printer is used frequently?)
