I see absolutely no use for this unless you have an Xbox or are some huge gamer. I have no clue if it is essential or not, though I would like to know. As far as I am aware it serves only to run without your permission and chew the heck out of your memory. Additional info on this page would be helpful to determining how I should view this item in the future.

This comes up in the Prefetch folder every few days, for no apparent reason, on a Lenovo laptop but it absolutely never comes up there on the other computer, an Acer laptop, despite that all of the settings on the computer are the same pertaining to Xbox and everything else. We don't use Xbox whatsoever and never have, so the settings for that are completely turned off, so it's suspicious that GameBarFTServer.exe (and other GameBar-related executable files) come up on the Lenovo laptop every few days. When any GameBar file is searched for on the computer, no results come up other than web results, nothing locally. So, where is it and why is it launching? Seems suspicious. Windows Defender hasn't been finding any malware, but we all know that that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't any malware present.
