What exactly is telemetry? Telemetry refers to the automatic measurement and transmission of data at a distance by radio, cellular or other means. Some major uses of telemetry include meteorology, flight testing, military intelligence, communications, and one of the most important applications, health care. They could be recording every key stroke and more.

Even if you do a clean install of Windows 10 this HP Touchpoint analytics will be installed with Windows updates on a HP PC. It is a bit intrusive to think Microsoft allows this even though it is not supposed to collect any specific data to the device or user. Because I don't see a ability to see what data it is sending back to HP. It is difficult to judge if it contains sensitive information. I suspect its more about monitoring stability of HP's products so they can detect issues in the field.
