tvnserver was found on admin machines on the network that were not running TightVNC. I was hidden and had to be removed through the registry. Malwarebytes did not catch it, nor did AVG or SOPHOS. While TightVNC may have advantages, this particular infection came from an unknown source and was not easy to find for removal.

its a cancer, had to do alot of things to fully remove it. DONT use their crap software, find a reputable VNC desktop client, dont make the same mistake I did. - CEO of techgorilla.io

can easily be hacked. Just go to your event viewer in your admin tools and if you have VNC server running you will see thousands of attempts to crack the 8 character max password.

It's a remote access program that requires knowledge to properly setup and secure, but works very well. If it's on your PC and you didn't install it, you fell prey to some other type of attack or fishing scheme. I recommend closing the access port and only allowing access via a secure tunnel to your PC. I use Cloudflare Access and it is extremely secure.
